Dialogue by parjam parsi is an enchanting album full of jazzy melodies brought to you by the piano. The entirety of this 12-song collection encompasses beautiful progressions that are equally heartfelt and soothing. Once you understand the depth of parsi’s music you’ll start to appreciate the instrumental storytelling at display here.
The album begins with the lovely cadence of “Without Words” and “If You Forget Me.” Hearing it made me grasp parsi’s musical attributes. The piano is indeed a diverse instrument and the artist’s flow was tremendous. Since the artist follows the tropes of easy listening, each track had a fixed structure that was almost effortless to follow. To be fairly honest there’s a substantial amount of music in this realm that might add various effects to make the actual essence of the melody an illusion. But parjam’s creativity strays away from that distorted path and arrives smoothly in tracks such as “an Ode to the River.” Here, an ambient mood is more prevalent, and it can align wonderfully with idyllic painting or meditation.
As the end of the album approached, the soft melody of “Lilacs” arrived. The tune was deeply resonant and there’s a distinct playfulness in the artist’s arrangement. It inspires me to clean the dust off my old keyboard and resume practicing! Although I might be a bit rusty, inspiration is key. “Dialogue” by parjam parsi is a lovely musical construct, that I solemnly hope reaches a larger audience.Archive
